Yosemite.live is operated by MountainsCalling.me LLC. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

No User Accounts

Yosemite.live does not require or offer user accounts. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information (PII).

Push Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we store your device's push notification token solely for the purpose of delivering notifications you have opted into. Tokens are deleted upon unsubscribe or after 30 days of inactivity.

Device Attestation

The app uses Apple App Attest (iOS) and Google Play Integrity (Android) to verify that API requests come from authentic app installations. These attestation tokens contain no personal information — they confirm device and app authenticity only.

Analytics

The Yosemite.live native apps use PostHog for anonymous product analytics — screen views, feature usage, and app lifecycle events. PostHog is configured in anonymous mode: no personal data is collected, no cookies are used for cross-site tracking, and IP addresses are not stored. Analytics data is not linked to your identity.

Website Analytics

The website uses PostHog to understand how visitors interact with the site — which pages are visited, which entrances draw interest, and whether visitors tap through to the app stores. PostHog is configured in anonymous mode: no cookies are used for cross-site tracking, no personal data is collected, and IP addresses are not stored. We honor your browser's Do Not Track (DNT) setting — if enabled, no analytics data is collected. You can learn more about PostHog's privacy practices atposthog.com/privacy.

No Tracking Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising identifiers, or any form of cross-site tracking in the app or on the website. The website's anonymous analytics (see Website Analytics above) store a random visitor identifier in your browser's local storage — never a cookie — and that identifier is never shared across sites.

No Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your data to anyone. We share data with third parties only as needed to operate the service: Apple and Google for attestation verification, and PostHog as our analytics processor — both described above. We do not transfer your data to third parties for any other purpose.
